The automotive press says Honda set a commendable goal; the car will appeal to consumers who want to decrease their carbon foot print and enjoy a fun driving experience. Autoweek agrees, saying, "Probably the best thing Honda could do for this car would be just to eschew the whole hybrid setup in favor of a nice, high-revving four-cylinder with power to burn. That's a Honda cr-z hybrid we could really love.”

The 2011 CR-Z does have a niche in the market and won’t turn off all buyers. If you’re a young professional who does a lot of commuting, doesn’t need a lot of cargo space and doesn’t mind owning a car that only seats two people, you should consider the CR-Z.
